Becoming a Caretaker

 

Ambika relies on its caretakers to provide a professional and effective service to its clients.

 

We accept general caretaker applications only if accompanied by a personal recommendation from an existing Ambika caretaker. This ensures that all new applicants are known to at least one other person within the company, and is a first stage in positive vetting.

 

THE BASIC CRITERIA

  All applicants must be at least 21 years old

  All applicants must be employed (or seeking employment with Ambika)

  Applicants with a criminal conviction will be rejected

  All applicants must have a referee who is a current Ambika caretaker

  No dependants (spouses or children) are allowed in the property with our caretakers

  No animals are allowed in the property with our caretakers


MAKING YOUR APPLICATION

All new applicants must provide the following basic information;

  Full contact details

  10-Year Curriculum Vita

  Name of the applicants referee

Once you have sent these details to Ambika you will be required to provide additional information;

  Standard Application Form

  Caretaker Agreement Form

  Police Subject Access Letter (can be obtained by visiting any Police station)

  Proof of Identity (e.g. Passport, Photo Identification, Driving Licence)

  Immigration Status (if non-EU citizen)


TRAINING & INDUCTION

All our caretakers undertake regular training as required. New applicants are required to attend the Basic Induction Course at our offices, which covers the main information required to be a caretaker;

 

  Introduction to Ambika

  Fire, Health & Safety Awareness

  Role of the Caretaker

  Rules, Regulations and Legal Matters

  Communication and Reporting

 

Additional training is provided as required, and frequently includes Fire Marshall Training, First Aid Training, as well as specific on-site awareness training.
