Ambika specialises in protecting vacant property. Securing an empty property quickly and effectively is important. Ambika has the experience and personnel to allow us to secure, occupy and vacate a property at a few hours notice.

HOW DOES AMBIKA PROTECT VACANT PROPERTY?

Our unique system involves installing caretakers who reside in a property on a non-tenancy basis. This offers an effective solution at a fraction of the cost of conventional security.

Using Ambika’s solutions enable our clients to have complete control over the security of the property. Ambika is contracted to “occupy” and protect the property, whilst our caretakers sign a non-tenancy agreement, accepting that they have no legal interest in the building. Our standard contracts offer two types of property protection, designed to meet all budgetary requirements.

Comprehensive – caretakers are on-site 24-hours a day, seven days a week

Standard – caretakers are on-site between 2000 – 0800 hours, seven days a week

The simplest method of deterring squatters and thieves is to occupy the property, and to show all the signs of inhabitation. If a property is being targeted then the following is a simple list of deterrents.

Lighting – both internal and external

Rubbish bags being left for collection

Vehicles in the driveway

Signs of occupancy such as noise from televisions and radios

In addition to security, Ambika’s caretakers will monitor the fabric of the building, liaise with contractors and visitors, and provide communication with the clients.

Health & Safety

Ambika is committed to the welfare of its caretakers and will only occupy property if suitable for human habitation. The property must have electricity and hot running water.

Occupying the Property

Upon instruction to occupy the property Ambika will install a team of caretakers dedicated to looking after the specific property. The caretakers will occupy the minimal amount of rooms within the property, bringing their own furniture and personal possessions.

Although pre-planning is essential, Ambika recognises the need for a fast response. As such we can arrange for a property to be secured within 24 hours.
